Small Private Gatherings

Six at 7 are private meals for 6 people designed for business professionals to expand their networks. Meals are home-cooked and served family style. This allows us to slow down and enjoy the conversation at the kitchen table. There are not interruptions that naturally happen in a restaurant setting. And the setting is much more relaxed than an office or common networking event.

Upcoming Gatherings

Six at 7 is BACK!!!!!

sARDINES

8 people squished around the table, like sardines. A menu of sardines. I know. It sounds crazy, but that’s exactly what makes it hysterical and fun!

Future events are often shared on the Six at 7 Facebook page or on my LinkedIn profile.  Or perhaps you’re happier on Instagram, we’re there too!

Amy Callahan, Founder of Six at 7

Amy has a long history of cooking for others.  Her first meal was made for her family when she was only 8 years old.  “Normal” family gatherings always included more food than could possibly be eaten in one setting.  Some events were invite only, others everyone piled into the small homes of her parents and Italian grandmother.  Many meals were eaten at tables set up in the living room, because the kitchen was much too small to accommodate everyone.  Bigger parties required more tables in bedrooms or the basement!

Later in life, Amy lived in Europe and the Caribbean where she was constantly asking, “How did you make that?”  These talents and passions were noticed by friends and neighbors who often told her she should open a restaurant.  Eventually, she opted for smaller scale personal chef services where she prepared weekly meals for busy clients.  This included menus specific to their needs and preferences, managing the pantry, grocery shopping, and leaving reheating and leftover repurposing ideas.  A few small parties were prepared in other clients’ homes as well.

Six at 7 meals are simple, yet flavorful and always made from whole ingredients.  To learn more about Amy’s cooking adventures check out www.chezamy.com or follow her on Facebook, Instagram or Periscope.  Her entertaining live videos and posts will give you plenty of ideas on how to spice up your own cooking!

Co-Host a Six at 7 Gathering with Amy

Purpose:

Six at 7 gatherings were designed to expand my network of positive people.  I have found that sitting down for a meal is an amazing way to have some of the best conversations and develop sincere connections.

Time:

Lunch: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Dinner: 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

preference for weekdays

Guests:

You and I will co-host a one-time gathering which leaves room for your 4 guests at our table.

Your list should include professionals who are key to mutually support success in professional outcomes.

We can curate the guest list with private invitations or a public event.  RSVPs are required.

Menu:

I will gladly make sure the food and beverages are in order.

I don’t ask for financial contributions to the meal, and co-hosts or guests are not asked to bring food to share.

Often my menus are a direct result of my guest list and their needs, what strikes my fancy at the grocery store, and how much cooking time I have.  I typically offered salad, protein, veggie, starch, and a small dessert.

For a lunch, I scale back so everyone doesn’t leave with food coma but has a delicious and satisfying meal.

Beverages provided are only non-alcoholic but I do allow guests to bring a beverage of their choice.  Some examples of what I provide: hot water for tea (I have many options), hot brewed coffee, chilled LaCroix waters, flavored filtered water or juices.

All guests must RSVP and include if they have any food allergies; dietary or specific food restrictions; and if there any foods that they secretly hope will not be prepared but you would never say.

Feedback:

We ask for permission and full release for photos that to be used in marketing on web pages, social media or other marketing outlets, printed or digital.

And testimonials are dreamy!

Experience:

Six at 7 meals are currently in my home in Middleton, WI. I like guests to know this is a little bit of a cozy table set up, the meal is served family style, there are no decorations, ie I am no Martha Stewart.  Think of going to your crazy grandma or aunt’s house who cooks way more than you can eat, and even after you’ve stuffed your face, she asks , “Did you get enough food?”

I truly believe that this sets up the conversation to flow so easily because people are generally relaxed despite the somewhat unconventional setting in today’s world.

If you are looking to have specific conversations, I’m game.  Let me know your preference so we can let our guests know in advance.

Last, I have a beloved, well-trained border collie. She is not a jumper, but she shamelessly asks for affection by sitting on your feet, persistently asks to play fetch, and has white hair.  If any guest is allergic or uncomfortable with dogs, we will gladly make accommodations.  Otherwise, Luna will greet you with delight, and then quietly watch for leftovers from the family room. And a lint roller will be available at the front door.

Unique Ideas:

If you have a unique idea that you would like to try, LET’S TALK!  Some ideas are having a guest speaker via video conference, a one-time study group discussion, launching a special project, welcoming a new colleague…

Terms:

All proposals for Six at 7 events will be accepted or declined at the sole discretion of Amy Callahan.  No promotion or use of Six at 7 is allowed without expressed written permission. To discuss your ideas, contact Amy directly.

You’re My Friend, But I’ve Never Met You.

We are connected online, but I have never had the pleasure to meet you in person. So I am hosting a series of Virtual Six at 7 events to get to formally meet you.
Please join me, and 4 other ‘strangers’ to have a casual conversation over Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided after your RSVP.
Please confirm the date that works best for you.
I’m so excited! Eeeeeee!
But truth be told, I would much rather we were gathered around my kitchen table. Sooner than later, I hope, my friends……
This is an invite only event, and I will host a variety of events for all Six at 7 supporters soon.

Backwards Scavenger Hunt

Everyone has to bring 6 items/props that tell a story to you. Keep your story a secret.
Then, you will show us all your items, and each one of us has to guess what your story is. And then you will tell us your story, and we have to decide if it is Fact or Fiction!
Silliness, Sass, Sense of Humor is all encouraged. This is an adult gathering, but kiddos may be in the background. Please adjust your story on the fly as needed, lol.
The Zoom link will be provided when your RSVP is confirmed.
This gathering is open to all Six at 7 fans! There are 5 spots open. I will keep a waiting list in case of cancellations.
I’m so excited! Eeeeeee!
But truth be told, I would much rather we were gathered around my kitchen table. Sooner than later, I hope, my friends……
